Habitat for Humanity of South Collin County in Need of Volunteers and Donations for 11th Street Development

Family in front of their new home.Have you ever wanted to give back to your community while helping the housing market? By getting involved in your local Habitat for Humanity organization, you can do just that. The Habitat for Humanity of South Collin County, Texas has purchased some Plano Housing Authority property on 11th Street and are in great need of able-bodied volunteers or kindhearted donors to help turn this property into new homes for 10 deserving families.

According to the organization’s website, they are planning to begin framing the first house at the end of April/beginning of May and then continuing to frame a new house every 3-4 weeks. If you’re interested in helping your Richardson and Plano neighbors achieve home ownership, consider lending a hand or making a donation.

If you’ve ever worked with Habitat before, you’re aware of just what a difference they can make in the lives of families in need of a home. If you’ve never been involved with this wonderful organization before, but would like to see what it’s all about, check out their website: www.habitat-scc.org
